If you have been following RSTheme products on ThemeForest, you may notice that some of our ThemeForest Prices are increasing.
We understand that price changes are never easy for customers, and we do not take this decision lightly. Instead of making a silent change, we want to explain the reason behind this update and how it helps us continue delivering the quality, updates, and support you expect from RSTheme.
The short answer is simple:
This price adjustment is not about increasing our profit. It is about adapting to changes in ThemeForest’s commission structure while continuing to maintain the quality of our products and services.
For years, RSTheme has been proud to serve customers worldwide as a ThemeForest Power Elite Author. Our journey has been built on creating premium WordPress themes, improving our products regularly, and supporting thousands of customers who trust our work.
As the marketplace environment changes, we believe transparency with our customers is more important than ever.
What Changed on ThemeForest?
In July 2026, Envato introduced changes to its revenue-sharing model for ThemeForest authors.
Under the updated structure, authors receive a smaller share from each sale compared to the previous system. This change affects independent developers and theme companies that invest significant time and resources into building and maintaining digital products.
A WordPress theme is not just created once and forgotten. After launching a product, continuous work is required to keep it reliable and compatible with the latest technologies.
This includes:
- WordPress version compatibility updates
- WooCommerce compatibility improvements
- Bug fixes and security updates
- Performance improvements
- New features and enhancements
- Documentation updates
- Customer support
These ongoing efforts require a dedicated team and continuous investment.
With the updated commission structure, the amount received from each ThemeForest sale has decreased, making it necessary for authors to adjust their pricing strategy to maintain the same level of product quality and support.
How the New Commission Structure Affects Authors
To make this change easier to understand, let’s look at a simple example.
Imagine a WordPress theme is listed on ThemeForest for $59.
The customer pays the same marketplace price, but the amount that reaches the author changes because of the new revenue-sharing model.
In simple terms, the same product sale now provides fewer resources for the team responsible for development, maintenance, and customer support.
The marketplace price also includes additional marketplace fees and charges, which are separate from the amount received by authors.
This is why pricing adjustments have become necessary for many authors who want to continue investing in their products.
Why Is RSTheme Increasing Prices?
At RSTheme, our goal has always been to create WordPress themes that provide long-term value.
Maintaining a premium theme requires continuous effort from our development and support teams. Every update, improvement, and support response represents hours of planning, testing, and development.
Keeping prices unchanged while receiving significantly less revenue from each sale would eventually impact our ability to maintain the same standards.
We had two choices:
- Keep prices unchanged and reduce investment in updates, improvements, and support.
- Make a transparent price adjustment and continue providing the quality our customers expect.
We chose the second option.
We believe it is better to openly explain a price change than to quietly reduce the quality of the products and services our customers depend on.
What Will Remain the Same?
Although some ThemeForest prices are changing, our commitment to customers remains exactly the same.
You can continue to expect:
- Premium WordPress themes
- Regular product updates
- Compatibility with the latest WordPress and WooCommerce versions
- Performance improvements
- Security updates
- New features and enhancements
- Reliable customer support
The same RSTheme team will continue working behind every product.
Our focus remains on building better WordPress solutions and helping customers create professional websites.
